Rain forest destruction

                    The atmosphere and oceans are not the only parts of the environment being damaged.  Rain forests are being quickly destroyed as well, and their survival is questionable.
                     E.O. Wilson, a biologist at Harvard, called the depletion of rain forest areas "the greatest extinction since the end of the age of dinosaurs."
                     Unlike some environmental issues, rain forest depletion has fortunately received significant public and media attention.
                     Despite the opposition to the cutting down of rain forests, the problem continues.  Every year, Brazil chops down an area of forest the size of the state of Nebraska.
                     In addition to the Amazon's rain forests, many other forests are being cut down as well.  In Indonesia, Zaire, Papua-New Guinea, Malaysia, Burma, the Philippines, Peru, Colombia, Bolivia, and Venezuela, rain forests that were once great have been lost.
                     According to some estimates, 50 million acres of rain forest are cut down every year.  The United Nations says the figure is closer to 17 million acres.  The World Wildlife Fund says that every minute, 25 to 50 acres are cut or burned to the ground.
                     The world's growing population has been a primary cause of rain forest destruction.  More people need land to live on and wood products to consume.  Limiting population growth may be the first in a series of steps that would limit the destruction of the rain forests.

   
            สภาพอากาศและมหาสมุทรไม่ได้เป็นเพียงแค่สภาพแวดล้อมที่จะถูกทำลายไปเท่านั้น  ป่าฝนก็กำลังจะถูกทำลายไปเช่นกัน และเป็นที่น่าสงสัยกันว่าสิ่งเหล่านี้จะอยู่รอดไปได้อย่างไร

            นอกจากนี้ ปัญหานี้ยังเกิดในป่าฝนอะเมซอน และอีกหลายๆที่ก็เช่นกัน ในประเทศอินโดนีเซีย, ซาเอีย, ปาปัว นิวกินี, มาเลเซีย, พม่า,ฟิลิปปินส์, เปรู, โคลัมเบีย, โบลิเวีย และเวเนซุเอลา ป่าฝนที่สำคัญก็ถูกทำลายไปเสียหมด
            มีการประมาณค่ามาว่า ป่าฝนเสียหายไป  50 เอเคอร์ทุกปี สหประชาชาติกล่าวว่าพบประมาณ 17 ล้านไร่  กองทุนสัตว์ป่าโลกกล่าวว่าทุกนาที 25 ถึง 50 เอเคอร์ ป่าไม้จะถูกตัด หรือไม่ก็ ถูกเผา
            การที่ประชากรโลกเพิ่มขึ้น ถือเป็นสาเหตุของปัญหาที่สำคัญที่ทำให้ป่าฝนถูกทำลาย ผู้คนจำนวนมากต้องการที่ดินเพื่ออยู่อาศัย และต้องการผลิตภัณฑ์จากไม้เพื่อ ใช้   การเพิ่มขึ้นของประชากรอย่างไม่มีขีดจำกัดนี้อาจจะเป็นสิ่งแรกของการทำลายป่าฝน

Disaster

  Farmers Loose Millions of Salmon Due To Chilean Volcano

                The Puyehue volcano in southern Chile continues to disrupt lives and cause problems even a week after it started spitting out hot ash and smoke. It has caused air traffic to be cancelled and stricken farmers. In South America, farmers have been hurt as have the salmon farmers in the southern parts of Chile. The salmon farmers have lost millions of salmon in the rivers due to the water temperature rising to high for the salmon to live in.
                 It was on June 4th when the volcano erupted and stated spitting smoke and ash into the sky going as high as 6 miles. There were 3500 people evacuated. People that left their homes that lived close to the volcano have been told not to return just yet. There is a threat of landslides in the area.

                 The ash cloud reached Bueonos Aires which is the capital of Argentina and a neighboring state of Chile. Both incoming and outgoing flight were disrupted and canceled.
                 Over the weekend, the cloud had made it as far as Australia and New Zealand again disrupting air travel in those countries for both local and out of country travel. . It is thought that if the weather continues as is, there will be no danger to the people in the area. Airports in Argentina and Urguay both had to cancel flights. Ever since the volcano erupted with the ash on June 4th, airports have had to cancel flights in Argentina, Urguay, Chile, Paraguay and Brazil.

                  ภูเขาไฟพูเยอวยแถบภาคใต้ของชิลียังคงก่อความเดือดร้อนต่อชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ นับตั้งแต่สัปดาห์หลังจากที่มีเถ้า ควันฟุ้งกระจายออกมา มันได้สร้างความวุ่นวายต่อสายการบินซึ่งต้องถูกระงับขึ้น รวมถึงส่งผลกระทบต่อด้านเกษตรกรรมอีกด้วย ในอเมริกาใต้ ชาวประมงปลาแซลมอนได้รับความเดือดร้อนเนื่องจากปลาแซลมอนนับล้านตัวตาย เนื่องจากอุ่นภูมิที่สูงขึ้นในน้ำที่ปลาเหล่านี้อาศัยอยู่
                   เหตุการณ์นี้เกิดขึ้นเมื่อวันที่4 กรกฎาคมเมื่อภูเขาไฟเกิดการระเบิด พวกเถ้า ควันก็ฟุ้งกระจายออกมาสู่ท้องฟ้าเป็นระยะถึง  6 ไมล์ ประชาชน 3500 คนได้อพยพหนีออกมา เนื่องจากบ้านของพวกเขาอยู่ในละแวกนั้น ซึ่งไม่ไกลจากจุดที่ภูเขาไฟระเบิดมากนัก จึงถูกเตือนว่าอย่าเพิ่งกลับเข้าไป เพราะ อาจเกิดดินถล่มตามมาได้
                   ควันไฟที่เกิดจากภูเขาไฟระเบิดนี้ได้ลอยไปถึงหมู่บ้านบัวโนส ไอเรส ซึ่งเป็นเมืองหลวงของอาร์เจนตินา ซึ่งเป็นประเทศเพื่อนบ้านกับชิลี จึงทำให้สายการบินทั้งขาเขาและขาออกถูกระงับการใช้งาน
                   และหลังจากสัปดาห์นี้ไปแล้ว กลุ่มเมฆควันเหล่านี้ก็ยังกระจายไปถึงออสเตรเลีย และนิวซีแลนด์อีกครั้ง ส่งผลให้สายการบินในประเทศเหล่านี้ต้องถูกระงับเช่นกัน แต่คิดกันว่าสภาพของอากาศเช่นนี้อาจจะไม่เป็นอันตรายต่อผู้คนในพื้นที่   จากเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นนี้พบได้ว่าสายการบินทั้งในอาร์เจนติน่า,อุรุกวัย,ชิลี, ปารากวัย และบราซิลจำเป็นต้องทำการระงับสายการบินขึ้น

 

The day with my new friends.

                 July 10,2010 ,was very exiting for me. My mother told me that she would give me two little cats!  Suddenly, My mother brought two cats in front of me. I very liked them. They were lovely!  My two cats played with me very happy. After that, I very tried .So I wanted to rest. But  they didn’t stop. I walked to escape them. But they ran to me and caught my feet! A few minutes later, I went to do my homework.This two cats very lovely!!! , I thought , Because it stayed with me to finish my  homework.  But shortly after, they became play again! They took my stationery to bit and attack together.  I caught them to stop that. Shortly after, They jumped into my dog! But my dog didn’t bite them, because it afraided two little cats!!!  My dog  jumped away. Finally, My little cats go to sleep. The clutter became calm!
